I am wearing a patchwork made by an inmate of the biggest prison in Senegal, I mean Rebeuss. The majority of people think that Rebeuss is a prison where detainees don't have any rights. They think that they are locked up around the clock and tortured at any time. That's far from the reality. The most impressive thing in that prison is the workshop of the tailors. Even Guards can have their clothes made there. They achieve beautiful and cheap models. The Library is my favorite place. It has over 5 000 books from different topics and levels. The inmates are fond of it. Reading is the best method to forget one's detention. Mr. O.D. leads the workshop. He’s been in that prison for five years. His case is pending before the criminal court. O.D. is very patient and well-educated. He’s accepted that he made a mistake. He regrets what He did. His work is really appreciated by his co-inmates. He’s a talented tailor. He usually helps his co-inmates by mending their torn clothes.
