I am wearing a patchwork made by an inmate of the biggest prison in Senegal, I mean Rebeuss. The majority of people think that Rebeuss is a prison where detainees don't have any rights. They think that they are locked up around the clock and tortured at any time. That's far from the reality. The most impressive thing in that prison is the workshop of the tailors. Even Guards can have their clothes made there. They achieve beautiful and cheap models. The Library is my favorite place. It has over 5 000 books from different topics and levels. The inmates are fond of it. Reading is the best method to forget one's detention. Mr. O.D. leads the workshop. He’s been in that prison for five years. His case is pending before the criminal court. O.D. is very patient and well-educated. He’s accepted that he made a mistake. He regrets what He did. His work is really appreciated by his co-inmates. He’s a talented tailor. He usually helps his co-inmates by mending their torn clothes.

Brother, i know you, and i Know that you are à Good person, the image that you described is the face of Rebeus in daytime. We used to do the Friday\'s Prayers together, during your visits.\n as à good person, You just Forgot to specify the the dark side of that jail , maybe it’s just because you habitually visit it only in daytime , but for having been there for 3 month let me tell you that it takes another face in the night , 180 persons are sharing à small room with one toilet , some people don’t even have a place to sit down or to sleep , they have to stand up during all the night , also among the 180 prisoners some 80% are smokers , and they use charcoal to Cook during the night the bad ventilation of the the rooms and the smoke emanating from the cooking and smoking makes the air unbreathable . 3 weeks ago, I even heard that one person that I meet there in the past, died because of bad conditions, he was suffering from asthma and they forced him to join a room which were inappropriate for him he finally died 10 days later, and the problem is that generally the male nurses always report the case as a natural death. \n\ni think The government must improve the living conditions of these detainees, because they are human before being detainees\n\nThanks\n
